About the Project

This project is an unofficial redesign of an existing platform. The original version serves its purpose but has visual and usability limitations that negatively impact the user experience. Because of this, I decided to propose a new design that is more modern, functional, and aligned with UI/UX best practices. This work was done independently and is intended to be part of my portfolio as a case study.

Goals and Objectives

My main goals with this redesign were to modernize the interface by simplifying and clarifying its visual presentation, to establish a consistent and professional visual identity through coherent typography and color choices, and to improve navigation by optimizing menus and buttons with a mobile-first approach. Additionally, I aimed to enhance user engagement by incorporating intuitive interactive elements and to ensure the platform met accessibility standards.

Design Process and Methodology

The redesign process began with research and analysis of user feedback and competitor platforms to understand UX best practices. Next, I created wireframes to plan improved layouts and user flows, followed by high-fidelity prototypes developed in Figma. Informal usability testing with peers provided useful insights, allowing iterative refinements before the final mockups were delivered.
